So far this fiscal year, Hanover Habitat has given out almost $5,000 in Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) state tax credits to our donors! We are getting ready to give away another $24,000 in state tax credits and it's not too late for you to donate and benefit from this program!
Individuals must donate a minimum of $500 to be eligible for a state tax credit equal to 40% of their donation. In this case, that would be a tax credit of $200. If you are in the top federal tax bracket of 35% and the top state tax bracket of 5.75% and you get the NAP tax credit, you are eligible for an 80.75% return on your $500 donation. This amounts to a $403.75 reduction. Or, put another way, your $500 donation only costs you $96.25! The same holds true for business donors, except that their minimum donation has to be $1,000. Our office is located at 8177 Mechanicsville Turnpike (Behind Cold Harbor Restaurant). Stop in and speak to a member of our staff. Your gift goes a long way toward keeping Habitat homes affordable and getting them built faster.
It takes approximately $140,000 to build an entire house. Your contributions in any dollar amount contribute greatly to the completion of a Habitat for Humanity home.

Once you click the JustGive.org link, you will be redirected to the JustGive.org website where you will be asked for the nature of your donation. On the next page, enter your name, address and credit cards information. You will have the choice of whether you want to share your e-mail and address with us. We hope you do so we can thank you personally and send you newsletters in the future.
Feel free to send any amount you wish from $10.00 on up. These funds go directly into the HHFH bank account which allows us to use your donation immediately to help a local family achieve home ownership.
Hanover Habitat for Humanity will not see or have access to any of the financial information you give to JustGive.org.
